MES has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Civil Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade) Group C (Non-Technical) with a total of 1070 vacancies through the SSC Phase XI exam.
Education Qualification
(i) Pass in 10th Standard/Class.(ii) Should possess a valid Civil Driving License (HMV) for all types of vehicle from State Governments.
(iii) Experience driving a motor car for at least 3 years.
(iv) Knowledge of Motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle)

Yes, the Driving skill test will be conducted by the User Department. Qualified candidates has to pass test of knowledge of Motor mechanism (Should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle) conducted by the Department within one year of appointment.

(i) To drive all types of vehicles/Car safely as per traffic rules
(ii) Proper cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles/Car
(iii) Maintenance of Car Diary
(iv) Records of Fuel consumed and drawn
(v) To rectify minor defects
(vi) Regular inspection of tire air pressure, Battery charging. battery terminals, engine oils, fuel, etc. before starting the vehicle.
(vii) he is also responsible for the drawing POL, and the safety of vehicles, materials and persons.
